Multiplayer is working!
Internal testing shows that online multiplayer is not just a possibility, but that indeed it works and unexpectedly very well.
Godot multiplayer was simple enough to understand. Changing the game the RIGHT way was the tricky part, since everything was programmed before this step. However, I must say this has been a very instructive experience and it has made us get confident in the multiplayer scene.
The first build is just the same game with the new feature of being able to connect to a friend's lobby and start a game involving two computers and the network, going from single-pc to LAN play. This means you will be able to play online with a friend by using some IP-tunnel software.
Obviously, some changes to the interface and the flow of the game need to be made to improve the multiplayer experience, but the most complicated part is already done.
I must say... thanks Godot! That was a very pleasant experience.
